A civil engineer at Virginia Tech, he met Marissa, another CE who he later shared many classes with, during his freshman year through his roomate, Mort.
Given the name MixMaster by his friend Kerry for the way he mashed up all his leftover food into a cup at the dining hall.
Later became a founding member of the nWo-VT with Kerry.
After two and a half years living in The Dungeon, and a semester co-oping in Baltimore, moved to 303-I Webb Street with Mike, Jon, and Mort. Finally free of their RHF captors, the four soon got down with the partying. Then Dave ended up spending a night in the slammer for drunk in public on his 21st birthday, compliments of Kerry, and things slowed down for him for a while. The following spring (1999), Dave found himself commuting to Roanoke, VA for his new co-op position at Hayes, Seay, Mattern & Mattern. Free of the old ball-and-chain, it was time to let the Vibe start flowing again. Then came summer, and the creek died down as everyone went home, leaving Dave with Mike and his friend Cheeselog, who was subleasing from Mort, for the summer. |
